Pay Rate: $17.75
Shift: Monday – Friday
5:30 am to 2 pm (if OT, then start time will be 3:30 am)
What’s a typical day as a Forklift Operator? You’ll be:
• Unloading pallets and cases from inbound trailers and/or containers manually and/or using Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as cherry picker, reach truck, double reach, sit down forklift, and motorized pallet jack.
• Accurately counting, verifying, and receiving product using radio frequency (RF) equipment and/or Voice Pick Technology.
• Documenting variances.
• Moving cases of product from the inbound dock to storage locations in the warehouse using a standing reach truck or stock picker.
• Moving pallets and/or cases from reserve location to pick location using a standing reach truck, stock picker, or sit down forklift.
• Operating a forklift and picking items as high as 35 feet in the air.
• Building pallets and delivering them to designated areas for shipping.
• Using a sit-down forklift, electric or manual pallet jack to load pallets.
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
• Following safety policies and procedures and correcting or communicating hazards to management.
• Maintaining productivity and quality standards.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Are able to count and perform basic math calculations.
• Must be good with heights
• Must be able to lift over 50#s
• Will be required to wear a harness
• Have a demonstrated ability to operate various MHE.
• Can follow general sequencing and process procedures.
• Have exceptional attention to detail, able to identify errors down to the single digit or letter.
• Have a strong attendance record.
