We’re seeking a Staff Accountant to work at a premier Technology company in Melbourne, FL. Sound good? Take a closer look below.

Pay rate: $29/ hour 
Term: Temp to hire 
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

What’s a typical day as a Staff Accountant? You’ll be:
• Assisting in monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activity.
• Reconciling bank statements.
• Reporting daily and weekly revenue and other key metrics.
• Providing support for Accounts Payable when required.
• Performing balance sheet account analysis and reconciliations.
• Preparing and entering journal entries.
• Ensuring all subledgers balance to the general ledger.
• Monitoring and tracking non-recurring customer expenditures.
• Providing analysis and support for weekly customer-specific revenue and cost of goods reporting.
• Tracking fixed assets.
• Conducting price audits.
• Assisting in annual physical inventory.
• Ensuring accuracy and quality of company general ledger.
• Tracking and posting prepaid expenses.
• Assisting in the control of expenditures.
• Adhering to all corporate financial policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Monitoring established internal controls to ensure proper compliance.
• Assisting with daily activities in the finance department.
• Understanding and following all applicable ISO and job-specific procedures.
• Maintaining a clean work area and surrounding workspace.
• Performing other responsibilities as directed and necessary for the business.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and at least 2 years of general accounting experience.
• Possess strong computer skills and knowledge of various applications (i.e., Email, Excel, MS Word, etc.) and ERP systems.
• Have knowledge of cost accounting, financial analysis, and the general ledger.
• Demonstrate strong communication, organizational, technology, and leadership skills.
• Can work independently in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment.
• Have knowledge of payroll functions (ADP experience is a plus).
• Can work with and maintain highly confidential information.
• Are able to interface with customers and suppliers.
• Have manufacturing experience (a plus).
• Are a US Person as defined in 22 CRF Part 120.15.
