Job details

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our team in East Hartford, CT. This position primarily involves the inspection and testing of electronic and optical components and assemblies, including LCDs, touch screens, glass, films, and bonded and laminated LCDs. The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of incoming materials, in-process manufacturing, and final product inspection.

Hours: Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Hourly pay: $20- $23

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to read blueprints, circuit board diagrams, and assembly drawings

  • 20/20 corrected visual acuity

  • Minimum of 2 years of Quality Control experience in the mechanical/electrical field or 3 years in production

  • Strong mechanical background

  • Basic computer knowledge, including proficiency in MS Office programs

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

  • Good organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities

  • Willingness to perform tasks outside of the main job scope

Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-process audits in manufacturing and service areas to ensure compliance with manufacturing documentation

  • Inspect first article per customer specifications

  • Conduct inspection of glass, touchscreens, films, and LCD components

  • Inspect completed assemblies, focusing on drawings, BOM, standard operating procedures, work instructions, critical dimensions, and visual inspection

  • Report non-conformance and document findings

  • Prepare products for shipping

  • Undertake additional tasks as determined based on business needs

  • Adhere to General Digital Quality Management System

  • Communicate findings to Quality Manager and production personnel
