Now hiring a Cost Accountant for our premier manufacturing client in Colorado Springs, CO!
Pay: $30-$35/hr
Hours: 8am-5pm, M-F
Location: Colorado Springs, CO 80915
Position Type: Temp to hire
Responsibilities
- Analyze and collect cost information associated with labor, inventory, and organizational expenses (Efficiency, Production Variance, Inventory, TE, Indirect Materials, etc.)
- Assist with budget and forecasting reports
- Assist with month-end closing and prepare journal entries
- Assist with annual and ad-hoc standard cost rolls
- Maintain Fixed Assets and submit Capital Expenditures Requests
- Reconcile inventory accounts
- Ensure compliance and provide audit requests
- Collaborate with various departments to educate and provide costing tools
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant study
- 2-5 years of accounting experience (preference for someone with manufacturing experience)
- Proven work experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, Accountant, or similar role
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Excel (pivot table and basic formula knowledge)
- Experience tracking efficiencies, direct labor hours, production variances, and inventory evaluation in a manufacturing setting
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be able to work independently
