Now hiring a Cost Accountant for our premier manufacturing client in Colorado Springs, CO!

Pay: $30-$35/hr
Hours: 8am-5pm, M-F
Location: Colorado Springs, CO 80915
Position Type: Temp to hire

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and collect cost information associated with labor, inventory, and organizational expenses (Efficiency, Production Variance, Inventory, TE, Indirect Materials, etc.)

  • Assist with budget and forecasting reports

  • Assist with month-end closing and prepare journal entries

  • Assist with annual and ad-hoc standard cost rolls

  • Maintain Fixed Assets and submit Capital Expenditures Requests

  • Reconcile inventory accounts

  • Ensure compliance and provide audit requests

  • Collaborate with various departments to educate and provide costing tools

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant study

  • 2-5 years of accounting experience (preference for someone with manufacturing experience)

  • Proven work experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, Accountant, or similar role

  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Excel (pivot table and basic formula knowledge)

  • Experience tracking efficiencies, direct labor hours, production variances, and inventory evaluation in a manufacturing setting

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Must be able to work independently
