What’s a typical day as an Assembler? You’ll be:
• Assembling turbine pumps of varying complexity.
• Reading and interpreting formal orders and bills of materials.
• Working from assembly drawings and layouts.
• Using hand power tools for miscellaneous duties as assigned.
• Fabricating wooden crates and skids for pumps and components.
• Marking crates per the order instructions.
• Checking orders for completeness.
• Providing weights and dimensions to the export coordinator.
• Painting pumps using standard and special paints.
• Supporting and complying with all safety and 5S requirements.
• Performing other miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as assigned.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a High School Diploma/GED plus 1-2 years of shop-related experience.
• Are able to read complex drawings and diagrams, use scales, calipers, and other measuring instruments.
• Have knowledge of shop arithmetic and a general understanding of the complete range of pumps made at the operation.
• Are competent in material handling using forklifts and cranes.
• Have preferred 12 months of experience in assembly, testing, painting, and crating.
