Kelly is recruiting for a Repair and Maintenance Technician to support a specialty grocery retailer in Bellevue, WA. This is a permanent, Direct Hire opportunity that offers excellent benefits including paid time off, medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) and more.

Work Schedule: Monday- Friday, 9am- 5:30pm, potential Saturday work, but work will always be 40 hours per week
Pay Rate: $27- $32/hour
Location: Bellevue, WA

Repair and Maintenance Technician job duties will include: 

  • Perform routine and complex preventive maintenance and repair on a variety of equipment, building, systems, utilities, facility components etc. 

  • Perform general maintenance work including rough and finish carpentry, painting and interior finishes repair and replacement, door and window repairs, hardware installation and repair, installing sealants and caulking, minor roofing repairs, light fixture lamp replacements, metal fabrications, hanging pictures, adjusting and repairing furniture, and installing and repairing cabinets. 

  • Perform more in depth and complex maintenance work including equipment installation, flooring repair and refinishing. 

  • Install, operate and maintain all building equipment and components that support the facility including: HVAC systems, building control systems, purified water, cooling towers, chillers, steam boilers, emergency generators, clean steam, RO water, compressed air and lab gas distribution systems. 

  • Trouble shoot problems in the event of mechanical failure of equipment and recommend necessary parts for effective repair. 

  • Perform periodic building equipment inspections following a checklist format and according a schedule to proactively identify maintenance and repair needs prior to building occupants. 

  • Work on assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required to resolve problems and make recommendations. 

  • Work effectively with contractors and assist Project Management Teams. 

  • Develop or assist in the development of any documents required to support the Maintenance function.

To be a fit for this position:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in delivering repair and maintenance of fast-paced retail environment, supermarket preferred

  • Cantonese/Mandarin required
