Kelly Outsourcing Consulting Group Kelly OCG, a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is currently seeking a Logistics Clerk for a long-term work engagement at one of our largest clients, in Ringwood, IL. Title: Logistics Clerk
Location: Ringwood (60072)
Hours: M-F 7am-4pm
Pay: $23 hr.; plus benefits and PTO
Duration: long term

As a Logistics Clerk placed with Kelly Project Services you will be responsible for the following:

  • Performing cycle counting of raw materials inventory

  • Housekeeping

  • Answering in-coming phone calls

  • Receiving of goods in SAP

  • Payroll time entering

  • Checking of production records for material usage variances

  • Material staging for production or shipping

  • Double checking of shipping paperwork product labeling

  • Preparing shipping documentation for deliveries

  • Other activities as assigned by supervision.

Critical Success Factors (requirements):

  • Must be able to understand and carry out instructions concerning standardized or non- standardized requirements, methods and procedures.

  • Escalate issues, provide ideas for fixing the problem and be part of the solution.

  • Must be able to understand and follow all plant safety and security rules and regulations.

  • Must be able to recognize hazards and avoid creating hazards to himself/herself, fellow employees, the general public and the environment.

  • Must have ability to do math calculations and read process instructions and material safety data sheets. Must be safety-minded and have good housekeeping habits.

Education/Certification/Experience Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Must have and maintain a valid driver s license

  • High school diploma, equivalent, or a satisfactory work record is required

  • Must be able to read, write, and verbally communicate in English.

  • Must be able to calculate various measurements using basic math skills.

  • Fork Truck operation training will be provided

  • Ideal candidate would have IATA certification or be IATA trained within 60 days

Physical Requirements:

  • With mechanic assist, must be able to manually move 50-pound drums after proper PHYSICAL training.

  • Must be able to manually lift and handle a nominal weight of 25kgs 55lbs.

  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs.

  • Must have sufficient dexterity and strength to operate process equipment, turn valves, etc.

  • Must be able to operate hand tools, such as pliers, screwdrivers, and scrapers.

  • Required to stand up to 90 of working day with frequent walking, intermittent stopping and bending while operating equipment, drumming, etc.

  • Must be able to tolerate periodic hot, inside working conditions or cold outside conditions

  • Have no known sensitivity or history of skin or respiratory allergies to dust, dirt, or chemicals to which there may be workplace exposure if an allergic reaction could create a safety or health hazard.

  • Must be able to wear required protective clothing equipment.

  • Must be able to operate forklifts both manual, pallet jacks, and sit-down riders.
