Position: Document Control Specialist
Type: Contract to Hire

Location: Tempe, AZ (ONSITE position)
Hourly Pay: $18-$22/hr. (Based on Experience)

Summary:
Kelly Engineering is seeking a skilled Document Control Specialist for our client located in Tempe, AZ, for a contract-to-hire position. We are in search of a meticulous professional to support the management of documentation for our client’s contract manufacturing facility. This role is crucial to ensure that Bill of Materials (BOM), Document Change Requests (DCR), Engineering Change Orders (ECO), and Engineering Change Notices (ECN) are accurate and conform to both company and customer standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, verify, and update essential documentation such as work instructions, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and procedures.

  • Generate and maintain part numbers within our ERP system (EPICOR/Kinetic).

  • Review customer files to identify any missing or inaccurate customer-supplied documentation.

  • Collaborate closely with Program Managers, Purchasing, and Planning teams.

  • Execute the Document Change Requests process by accurately updating specified documents.

  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and cycle times associated with documentation control processes.

Experience and Education:

  • Strong understanding of electronic components is vital.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in electronic assembly manufacturing is preferable.

  • Experience with ERP systems, particularly EPICOR/Kinetic, is advantageous.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams).

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

  • Logical thinker with excellent organizational abilities.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficient in English comprehension and reading.

  • US Citizenship is required.

Work Environment:
The work environment is typical of a manufacturing setting where hazardous materials may be present.  Security investigations may be conducted to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and/or work areas.
