Clinical Laboratory Supervisor – Carrollton, TX Area
Seeking a Clinical Laboratory Supervisor in the Carrollton, TX area. This role oversees and manages the daily operations of the clinical laboratory, ensuring accurate and timely patient testing while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Supervisory Duties:

    • Oversees laboratory staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.

    • Ensures adherence to laboratory policies and procedures.

    • Resolves technical issues and implements corrective actions.

    • Oversees the staff in ensuring they are properly utilizing the LIS for laboratory functions

    • Assists Laboratory Director/Technical Supervisor with the monitoring and collecting data

Quality Control and Assurance:

    • Implements and monitors quality control programs.

    • Analyzes quality control data and takes corrective actions as needed.

    • Participates in quality improvement initiatives.

    • Monitors test analysis and specimen examination to ensure that acceptable levels of analytical performance are maintained

Operational Management:

    • Manages laboratory workflow and resource allocation.

    • Oversees inventory management and equipment maintenance.

    • Ensures compliance with CLIA and state regulations.

Staff Development:

    • Provides training and development opportunities for laboratory staff.

    • Evaluates staff competency and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Meets applicable CLIA qualification requirements for General Supervisor and State Licensing qualifications (as applicable) for moderate and high complexity testing.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific field.

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in clinical laboratory setting.

  • 2+ years of experience performing high complex testing and supervisory experience

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in laboratory information systems.
