Kelly® is looking for a Buyer of Operational Services to work with a premier Oil and Gas client in Houston 77002. Target pay rate: $50 per/hour
Work Schedule: 40-hour work week on site Houston, TX

What’s a typical day as a Buyer of Operational Services? You’ll be:

  • Interacting extensively with domestic and foreign suppliers and internal business clients/owners.

  • Issuing and soliciting RFQs to suppliers.

  • Verifying that specified services can be delivered on time.

  • Agreeing on price and conditions with suppliers.

  • Contacting requisitioners to clarify specifications.

  • Assigning and processing spot requisitions to procure goods and services in SAP system.

  • Seeking existing contracts that could respond to spot requisitions.

  • Interacting with clients and suppliers to address issues related to delivery, quantity, quality, etc.

  • Responding to inquiries generated from clients or business owners.

  • Assisting with invoice matters in collaboration with Payables.

  • Running open commitment reports and closing orders that are no longer valid.

  • Resolving auto-release failures in SAP.

  • Assisting in the resolution of Goods receipt/Invoice receipt reconciliation issues.

  • Updating prices with suppliers according to pre-negotiated contract clauses.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have experience with procuring operational services such as craft labor, scaffolding/paint/electrical services, chemical cleaning, tank maintenance, environmental/remediation services.

  • Have effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

  • Possess strong analytical skills.

  • Have moderate negotiation skills.

  • Are proficient with ERP systems (e.g., SAP Hana preferred) and Microsoft Office Tools

  • Hold a university degree (preferred but not necessary).
