We here at Kelly are seeking proficient and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to work our premier client In Lake Zurich IL. The ideal candidate will have experience working with small hand tools and performing tasks under a microscope for extended periods. This role involves producing components, subassemblies, and final assemblies with high precision.
The position is temp-to-hire, with opportunities for long-term employment for the right candidate.
Pay Range: $18 – $26/hr (based on experience)
Shifts:
- 1st Shift: 6am – 2pm, Monday to Friday
- 2nd Shift: 2:30pm – 10:30pm, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities:
- Product Assembly:
- Follow released documentation to produce products; notify the supervisor if a conflict is observed.
- Produce components, subassemblies, or final assemblies with minimal supervision.
- Perform in-line checks and product testing on subassemblies and finished products using hand tools (calipers, micrometers, scalpel, soldering iron, tweezers).
- Operate various equipment such as adhesive dispensers, UV cure, vertical shrinker, braider, tipping machines, and molding equipment.
- Maintain awareness of quality requirements, identify defects, and communicate them to the supervisor and/or engineer.
- Track materials, tools, and procedures as the device is manufactured.
- Follow released documentation to produce products; notify the supervisor if a conflict is observed.
- Documentation and Line Clearance:
- Prepare the station and perform line clearance, including all items identified in the line clearance procedure.
- Ensure daily line clearance is completed for each operation performed.
- Confirm that training is current before starting work and understand the procedure; notify the supervisor if a conflict occurs.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly CER cleaning for individual stations.
- Accurately fill in LHRs or forms in support of manufacturing.
- Prepare the station and perform line clearance, including all items identified in the line clearance procedure.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Fluent in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Proficient in working with small hand tools and able to work underneath a microscope for an 8-hour shift.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Nice to Have:
- Previous experience in medical device assembly or machine operation (excluding CNC).
- Educational qualifications or certifications above a high school diploma or GED.
