Financial Analyst
Job Summary: The Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting Financial Analysts, Financial Management, and Business Unit Leaders. The right candidate for this position will thrive in an unstructured and fast-paced environment and will work closely with Finance Leadership on developing strategies. They will be responsible for providing financial and data analysis, scenario and sensitivity analysis, annual budgeting, ongoing forecasting, and presenting findings to drive performance and support optimal operations. The Financial Analyst will also assist in process improvements, review financial reports, and develop automated reporting and forecasting tools.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage financial models to enhance operational efficiency and support data-driven decision-making.
- Gather and analyze key divisional and portfolio performance metrics and communicate findings at various levels of detail.
- Identify risks and issues and provide recommendations for process improvements to internal stakeholder teams.
- Build and analyze complex models to support ongoing business operations.
- Communicate complex analysis in a concise and organized manner to financial senior leadership.
- Review financial reports prepared by the team, including variance analysis, staffing analysis, and corporate reporting of Budget and Actuals.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and other related duties as assigned.
- Develop automated reporting and forecasting tools to optimize data utilization.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, or Finance.
- 5 years of business experience in corporate financial reporting and budgeting or IT operational functions in IT Financials, OR 8 years of business experience in corporate financial reporting and budgeting or IT operational functions in IT Financials.
- Knowledge of tools/applications used within Internal Operations, such as Workday, Oracle, Smartview (Essbase), MS Teams, and SharePoint.
- Strong customer service skills, including managing customer expectations and vendor relationships.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong presentation, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in PC applications, including Word, Excel, MS Access, PowerPoint, Power Query, and Power BI. VBA and/or Alteryx experience is a plus.
- Detail-oriented approach to work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with creating financial modeling.
- Experience with running workflows in Power Query or Alteryx for business/financial models.
- Experience in maintaining and validating large datasets.
- Knowledge of Oracle and Smartview.
