Material Handler – Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Location:   Bridgeview, IL
Job Type:  Temporary/Full-Time (3 month project)
Hours:  7am – 3:30pm, Monday-Friday
Pay:  $24.00 per hour
Job Description:
Kelly is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and cleanliness of our cable and hose products, as well as power washing old and returned equipment. This position requires a commitment to precision and a proactive approach to ensuring all materials meet our high standards.
Responsibilities:

  • Clean and package cable and hose products to meet quality standards.

  • Perform power washing on old and returned equipment to ensure their cleanliness and readiness for reuse.

  • Handle materials with care, adhering to safety protocols and company guidelines.

  • Maintain an organized workspace and ensure proper storage of cleaned and packaged items.

  • Assist in inventory management and reporting any discrepancies or issues.

  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and maintain workflow efficiency.

  • Follow strict safety regulations and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

  • Previous experience in a similar role or industrial setting is an advantage.

  • Ability to operate power washing equipment safely and effectively.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.  Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently.

  • Ability to work independently and as art of a team.

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to maintain a clean and orderly workspace.

  • Adherence to safety protocols and a proactive approach to preventing accidents.
