Location: Shelton, CT – Hybrid
Payrate: $25.00 – 27.00 / hour
Schedule: Fulltime – Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Duration: 2-3 months

What’s a typical day as an International Logistics Clerk? You’ll be:
•    Responsible for executing all international shipping requirements for both import and export accounts for all international air, ocean, trucking, and intermodal shipping requirements for country accounts
•    Participating in staff meetings to provide updates on assigned lanes
•    Maintaining timely responses to export inquiries
•    Performing freight invoice uploads and coding for proper payments
•    Generating weekly reports and summarizing findings
•    Providing payment notices to freight forwarders and carriers
•    Reconciling statements of accounts to ensure timely freight payments
•    Managing air freight spot quotes using global software
•    Providing backup for daily operational functions to cover team members out of the office

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
•    Have a minimum associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college preferred
•    Have a minimum of one year experience or education in international logistics, supply chain, or operations management
•    Are capable of accomplishing day-to-day tasks utilizing various enterprise software systems
•    Are a team player and able to work independently
•    Have basic competencies in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
•    Have experience with JD Edwards (preferred)
