Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist (Inventory Handler/Specialist)

Salary: $37,500 annually ($18 per hour)

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am-4:30pm with possible weekends

Position Summary:
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for managing inventory control processes in a production environment. This includes manual assembly tasks involving counting, sorting, collating, and assembling printed materials, as well as hand-inserting items into envelopes and cartons. The candidate must be licensed to operate a forklift and proficient with radio frequency scanners. Attention to detail, the ability to follow verbal and written instructions, and maintaining quality and productivity standards are essential.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform inventory resolution and conduct complex investigations to address discrepancies.
Assist in conducting performance audits and ensuring compliance with standards.
Handle physical requests for items and perform item modifications as needed.
Identify and escalate operational and procedural issues to supervisors.
Complete onboarding training and pass all required tests.
Adhere to productivity and quality performance standards.
Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety, and security guidelines.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Perform repetitive tasks such as counting, sorting, and assembling materials.
Follow written or verbal instructions to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
Perform physical activities including bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and standing on concrete surfaces.
Lift and move materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
Meet productivity rates after completing training and learning curves.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong understanding of warehouse operations including receiving, storage, and replenishment.
Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Strong math and counting skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to obtain Hi-Lo certification (valid MI driver¿s license or corrected vision proof required).
Basic computer knowledge.
Strong hand dexterity and physical strength.
Ability to use tools such as calculators, box cutters, highlighters, and permanent markers.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
