We’re hiring a Receiving Clerk/Material Handler in Newington, CT

Pay: $19/hr
Hours: 1st shift 7:00am-3:30pm

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler & Inventory Specialist responsible for managing all material movements between multiple facilities. The role includes supporting the Receiving area, facilitating material flow to the production area, and maintaining inventory accuracy and workplace organization.

  1. Support Receiving area, load and unload truck accurately and timely.

  2. Check paperwork and prepare Building labels if needed.

  3. Process Goods Receipts in SAP for inbound shipments.

  4. Coordinate any shipping issues with appropriate staff in each Building 

  5. Pull parts from storage areas and deliver to assembly areas using various material handling equipment (transport cart, pallet jack, forklift).

  6. Record stock transactions using SAP via PC or barcode scanners.

  7. Count all parts moving in and out of stock.

  8. Unpack packages and stock parts on storage shelves.

  9. Fill and deliver transport carts to work centers safely and efficiently.

  10. Work independently with minimal supervision, anticipating and managing potential problems efficiently.

  11. Be capable of standing, walking, lifting, and bending for extended periods.

  12. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unaided.

  13. Demonstrate strong attention to detail and good communication skills.

Experience

  • Must be organized with paperwork.

  • Previous computerized shipping experience is preferred.

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly without assistance and stand for long periods on a concrete floor.

Education

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
