Expired Pharmaceutical Returns Analyst
Contract – 6+ months
Salary: $30-$40/hr. on contract based on experience
Location: Bridgewater, NJ – hybrid schedule 3/2
Hours: Typically 8-5, but flexible
Monday – Friday

Responsibilities

  • Process Return Credits: Receive EDI data and determine whether to process or deny  credit based on variable criteria. Utilize return data from both the company and third-party systems.

  • Deduction Tracking/Control: Monitor and minimize return deductions.

  • Meet deduction level and processing objectives.

  • Proactively address systems issues which impact the timely processing of returns.

  • Upload Short Pay Forms (SPF) to McKesson portal for repayment and/or provide to Deductions/Chargeback Analyst upon request.

  • Evaluate and analyze data to ensure that Pricing applied is correct and returns are being processed based on the company’s policy.

  • Work alongside Deductions/Chargebacks to help resolve discrepancies with credits issued for returns.

  • Provide management with periodic reporting and analysis of return SPF activity.

  • Detect and research disputes and/or discrepancies with credits issued.

  • Answer customer inquiries regarding return credits. Identify and resolve claims.

  • Monitor returns deductions monthly, via the AR aging.

  • Collaborate internally to proactively address customer-facing issues and disputes.

  • Interact cross-functionally with Inmar, Accounts Receivable, Contracts & Pricing.

Required Education / Skills / Abilities

  • Degree in Accounting or other Business Discipline preferred. Basic Accounting knowledge.

  • Several years’ experience in an industry whose customer base included major retail or chain stores, and/or wholesale pharmaceutical distributors.

  • Prior Pharmaceutical customer service and Accounts Receivable experience a plus.

  • Strong reconciliation, collections, deductions, and negotiation skills.

  • Strong Excel (intermediary level or above). Strong analysis/reporting skills.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong multi-tasking skills.

  • Familiar with SOX guidelines and procedures.

  • Able to work independently with accuracy and speed, with minimal supervision
