Job Summary:
Join the Kelly® Professional & Industrial team as an Assembler with Kelly at John Deere in Fuquay Varina, NC. As an Assembler, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of semi-skilled tasks necessary to build a quality commercial product. This is a full-time position with a pay rate of $15.95 per hour. You will be working in a safe, clean manufacturing facility with a great paid training program. No education is required to start, and you can earn your GED while earning a living. This position offers weekly pay and the opportunity to receive production bonuses after 30 days. Additionally, there is potential for advancement, pay increase, and access to great benefits, including health insurance, 401K options, and education assistance.
Job Specifications:
– Job Type: Full-time

– Pay Rate: $15.95 per hour
– Shift: 1st shift (6:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday-Thursday) possible OT may be required on some Fridays. Facility is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
Roles and Responsibilities:
– Perform production operations on various parts according to specifications and build schedules using tools, fixtures, handling, checking, and measuring equipment.
– Make job changes and routine adjustments required for changeover and operation.
– Conduct and record performance tests, make final adjustments, and check defects using testing equipment.
– Perform rework and/or repair on completed products by tear down and reassembly, installing, replacing, reworking, fitting, and adjusting parts as required.
– Identify, unload, unpack, check, store, gather, and/or put up orders on all types of material and supplies received from outside suppliers.
– Gather, package, assemble shipping cartons, determine shipping and packing method, weigh, label, and compute postage to prepare service parts or assemblies for shipment.
– Build and assemble shipping containers, pallets, or crates and gather and prepare parts, assemblies, supplies, or materials for shipment.
– Use motorized vehicles, hoists, and/or handling equipment to handle and transport material, skids, containers, and racks.
– Clean plant floors, aisles, work, office, and rest areas; change hoppers at production areas; and transport scraps and/or refuse materials to designated disposal areas.
– Lubricate, clean, and perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs as necessary.
– Perform training, cross-training, and job rotation as required.
– Receive general instructions from supervisor and work independently.
– Observe all safety rules and regulations in the performance of job duties.
– Assist/participate in the analysis of manufacturing methods and continuous improvement processes.
– Perform in-process and finished product quality audits and record results.
– Perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.
Qualifications & Skills:
– Possess good logic and problem-solving skills, paying close attention to detail.
– Excellent communication skills.
– Good attendance record, safety record, observance of company policies and work rules, performance on prior jobs.
– Computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, E-mail).
