What’s a typical day as a Senior Compensation Analyst? You’ll be:
• Compiling the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting process.
• Analyzing actual results versus expectations and building accurate future expectations.
• Publishing monthly standard business performance reports and ad hoc analysis.
• Defining and implementing standard work processes to gain efficient and accurate financial reporting.
• Performing financial results analysis to identify variations and trends that indicate possible exposures.
• Partnering with sales and finance leadership to build annual commission plans consistent with commercial and corporate goals.
• Managing the quarterly commission process for the sales team.
• Developing and managing data rules and collaborating with Master Data, IT, and other business functions to deliver a sustainable data framework for commission calculation and reporting.
• Providing communication and training for sales leaders and representatives on standard commission principles and policy.
• Working with regional sales leadership to set territorial alignment and growth rates and deliver annual goals to field staff.
• Interacting with sales representatives and leadership to provide guidance and resolve questions around the commission plan.
• Partnering with finance to administer ICM software, including setting long term roadmap and defining future state upgrades and implementation.
• Developing and communicating compensation related training materials and guidelines.
• Periodically analyzing the effectiveness of compensation plan designs.
• Providing analytical support for other sales compensation projects and initiatives as needed.
• Maintaining quarterly sales rankings and President’s Club details and publishing reports to sales leadership.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related area preferred with 5+ years of experience in a similar role working with a commercial organization.
• Have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (macros, pivots, lookups), Access, SQL, and/or VBA.
• Have strong communication and analytical skills.
• Can multi-task and work independently with minimal direction.
• Are highly analytical, have strong attention to detail, and can set and meet tight deadlines.
• Have experience with commission management software (Xactly, ICM, CallidusCloud).
• Can learn quickly and thrive in a growing company.
• Can translate complex analytical data into an easily understandable format.
• Are results-oriented, highly energetic, and have a hands-on mentality.
• Have proven ability to think creatively, develop new ideas, and provide forward-thinking solutions.
• Have demonstrated analytical skills in deriving insights from data and predictive data modeling.
• Have strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, group dynamic, and presentation skills.
• Can work effectively as an individual contributor and as part of a team.
