Position: Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Monett, MO
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM CST (some flexibility)
Pay Rate: $17.80 – $22.00/HR

Hybrid Schedule:
Work in the office 1-2 days per week for training, meetings, and collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable, matching invoices with purchase orders.

  • Review invoices for payment and secure approvals.

  • Ensure accurate customer/vendor information is in the system.

  • Handle payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers).

  • Generate reports and maintain accounting documentation.

  • Assist departments and vendors with complex accounts payable issues.

  • Suggest process improvements for efficiency.

  • Research and resolve invoice/payment inquiries.

  • Communicate proactively with internal customers.

  • Prepare documentation for audits.

  • Follow internal processes for financial security.

  • Monitor accounts for timely payments and follow up on outstanding invoices.

  • Perform additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of accounts payable experience (vendor accounts, invoice processing, payments).

  • Experience with accounting software (Peoplesoft preferred).

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.

  • Strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.

  • Quick learner with the ability to use various accounting software.

  • Detail-oriented, flexible, and collaborative.

  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to produce accurate work efficiently.
