Position: Engineering Technician
Type: Contract (3 months with possible extension)
Location: Sunnyvale, CA (ONSITE position)

Hourly Pay: $30-$35/hr. (Based on Experience)

Summary:
Kelly Engineering is looking to hire a qualified Engineering Technician for our client located in Sunnyvale, CA. This opportunity is a 3-month contract with the possibility of an extension. The Engineering Technician will verify and validate hardware and firmware and analyze data. This role provides the opportunity to collaborate with diverse engineering teams, acquire knowledge of industry standards, and engage in Design of Experiment (DOE) and Design Input Requirement (DIR) verification activities.

As an Engineering Technician, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Assist system verification engineers with a wide range of systems development activities.

  • Perform hands-on hardware testing, including mechanical, optical, and electrical instrumentation and consumables.

  • Conduct root cause failure analysis and hands-on troubleshooting of consumable parts, hardware, and software.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, bioengineering, molecular biology, Life Sciences, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and presentation skills.

  • No prior experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with general scientific good laboratory practices (GLP).

  • Familiarity with design and development verification and validation.

  • Knowledgeable in optical, mechanical, thermal, and electrical hardware and firmware.

Physical Requirements and Abilities:

  • Ability to perform repetitive arm, wrist, and finger motions.

  • Capable of lifting objects weighing at least 20 lbs.

  • Engage in typical hands-on lab work.

  • Willingness to travel to off-site vendors as needed
