Job Title: Document Control / Project Manager Assistant

Location: Vidor, TX

Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM 


This role is vital for keeping projects on track and ensuring effective communication between teams. Assisting from the office, you will be conducting admin work to assist the on site project manager. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Support: Primarily support with project management tasks and document control, ensuring all project details are accurately tracked.

  • Estimating Support: Maintain logs for incoming estimates, manage drawing dissemination, and assist in tracking and organizing estimates for project proposals.

  • Document Control: Maintain logs for estimates, drawings, and related project documents.

  • Learning & Growth: This is a stepping-stone role with opportunities to grow into a Project Manager position. We’re seeking someone motivated to develop their skills and eager to learn from industry experts.

  • Unlearning & Adaptability: Must be open to new ways of working, even if it means adapting previous knowledge or learning new industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • General familiarity with the steel or construction industry.

  • Experience using Tekla (preferred)

  • Basic knowledge of project management and estimating processes.

  • Ability to distinguish between common materials.

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt quickly to new processes.
