What’s a typical day as a Receiving Specialist? You’ll be:
• Receiving and loading/unloading delivery trucks, and verifying that the contents match the purchase order and packing slip.
• Inspecting incoming shipments for damages or discrepancies and reporting any issues to management.
• Sorting, labeling, and storing items in designated areas.
• Updating inventory records and maintaining accurate stock levels.
• Maintaining accurate data entry and records in the system
• Conducting inspections of the vehicle before departure
• Following DOT regulations and safety standards
• Operating powered industrial trucks, including forklifts and powered jacks
• Utilizing computer systems, ERP software, and Microsoft Office software
• Following and adhering to all company and customer shipping instructions, policies, and procedures
 
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Have intermediate knowledge of PC and database programs, including ERP systems, printing labels, word processing, excel spreadsheets, and Outlook
• Have effective verbal and written communication skills
• Have at least one year of experience with forklifts and working in receiving
• Have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and occasionally lift up to 65 lbs.
• Have the ability to move and position yourself to operate on, under, and around machines
