Senior Electrical Control Engineer

NO CORP TO CORP (C2C) OR THIRD-PARTY RECRUITMENT

  • Location: Baltimore, Maryland – ONSITE

  • Duration: Direct Hire

  • Pay: Negotiable on direct related experience up to $90,000 – $130,000 per year

  • Work Authorization: Must be currently located in the United States and able to work with valid employment authorization documents.

 

 

Summary:

Currently seeking a Senior Electrical/Controls Engineer who will design electrical control systems incorporating multi-axis motion control systems, electromechanical systems, and pneumatics for the manufacturing of liquid filling machinery systems.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with engineering team, other departments, and customers from concept through product delivery in the design of control systems and machinery engineered to our customers unique specifications within project timeline.

  • Develop product concepts, technical drawing packages, and cost estimates.

  • Identify commercially available machine components.

  • Incorporate engineering standards for reusable design components and standard parts.

  • Create performance calculations, schematics, wiring diagrams, flow charts, sequence of events, BOMs, and specification sheets. (PLC, HMI, Motion)

  • Lead design review and knowledge-sharing discussions.

  • Work collaboratively with assembly and technician teams to troubleshoot and debug issues that may arise in the building phase of the project or with existing filling and capping machinery.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Software, Electrical, Mechatronics or similar) and 10+ years of engineering experience.

  • 2D CAD drawings (AutoCAD or Draftsight) with appropriate power distribution, overcurrent protection and component layout.

  • PLC Programming with Rockwell Automation RSlogix 5000

  • Motion Control Programming using any motion controller and standard fieldbus.

  • HMI Programming using Rockwell Automation Factor Talk SE or Factory Talk ME

  • Commissioning any machine or control system from out-of-the-box hardware to a completely running, tested, and validated machine/system.

  • Demonstrated ‘blank page’ design experience.

  • Experience incorporating multi-axis motion control systems, electromechanical systems, and pneumatics.

  • Knowledge of NEC standards/regulations.

  • Experience managing multiple intermediate and large projects from conception to completion.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
