Job details
Location: Norfolk, VA
Hours: Monday-Friday 8a,-5pm
Pay: $16-$20/hr, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Work with assigned accounts to develop and implement recovery strategies.
- Resolve consumer concerns and respond to complaints in a professional manner, aiming to de-escalate situations effectively.
- Utilize strong time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet recovery goals.
- Negotiate effectively in a collections environment to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Maintain knowledge of debt collection laws, including the FDCPA and UDAAP.
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, to ensure consumer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in sales and customer service, preferably in a call center environment.
- Proven experience in a collections role with a focus on recovery preferred.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage difficult conversations.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus; candidates may qualify for an additional bonus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with legal processes related to debt collection.
- Demonstrated performance in achieving recovery targets.
