Chemistry Lab Technician

Kelly Science is currently recruiting for a Lab Technician with a Refinery in the Corpus Christi, TX area. In this role, you will be a core member of the Quality Control (QC) lab team, focusing on testing and analyzing materials.
Job Responsibilities:
- Inspect, test, and release lithium materials according to QC lab procedures.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized lab space.
- Operate and maintain various lab equipment, including ICP-OES, for material characterization.
- Conduct chemical and physical analyses using advanced techniques like ICP-OES, Tap Density, PSA, XRD, and IC.
- Document all test data accurately and precisely in the quality database.
- Continuously improve lab processes to increase productivity, reduce costs, and minimize waste.
Job Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or relevant experience (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in an analytical lab, preferably with metallurgy, inorganic chemistry, or materials science.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with advanced analytical techniques for material characterization is a must.
- Excellent organizational, data management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong safety focus and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and communicate fluently in English (written and verbal).
Job Details:
- Competitive hourly rate $28-30 per hour.
- Flexible work schedule (Monday-Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, transitioning to a 24-hour Dupont schedule in the future).
