Position: Document Control Specialist
Type: Contract to Hire

Location: Tempe, AZ (ONSITE position)
Hourly Pay: $20-$24/hr. (Based on Experience)

Summary: 
Kelly Engineering is seeking a qualified Document Control Specialist for a contract to hire role in Tempe, AZ. The Document Control Specialist is responsible for analyzing and reviewing engineering and documentation changes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company and customer requirements. Responsibilities include creating part numbers for assemblies, fabricated and commercial parts, processing Document Change Requests (DCR), and creating and redlining multi-level BOMs, and submitting Engineering Change Orders.

Responsibilities:

  • Process Document Change Requests by incorporating redlines into the specified document.

  • Create and update work instructions, Bill of Materials (BOMs), Travelers, Work Instructions, and Procedures.

  • Contribute to continuous process improvement efforts to reduce scrap and cycle times caused by incomplete or inaccurate documentation.

  • Create Part Numbers in ERP System (Kinetic / EPICOR).

  • Enter BOMs in ERP System (Kinetic / EPICOR).

  • Assist engineering by providing clear and accurate documentation.

  • Follow up with Program Managers and/or end customers to resolve missing or incorrect customer-supplied documentation.

  • Work closely with Engineering, Program Managers, Purchasing, and Planners.

  • Maintain customer part numbers and MFG part numbers in the ERP System.

Experience and Education:

  • Knowledge of electronic components.

  • High School Diploma required; College credit or Associate’s Degree preferred.

  • Desired: 1+ year of experience in electronic assembly build process and procedure documentation creation.

  • Ability to read and perform detail-oriented work with high accuracy.

  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), Acrobat, and CAD; experience with AEGIS CircuitCam and/or Factory Logix preferred.

  • Logical and organized thought process.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to read and comprehend English.

  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Work Environment:
The work environment is typical of a manufacturing setting where hazardous materials may be present.  Security investigations may be conducted to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and/or work areas.
