Quality Engineer
Location: Tempe, AZ
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Pay Range: $65K – $85K
Join a leading company in the defense/aerospace and medical industries as a Quality Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced, self-motivated, and results-oriented professionals looking to develop and maintain quality assurance standards and processes. You will play a vital role in establishing specific quality measurements and tracking improvements against these metrics. This position may involve interfacing with customers and suppliers on quality-related issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain quality assurance objectives aligned with corporate policies and goals.
- Conduct quality engineering reviews of design documentation to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Perform internal audits to assess the health of the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to quality.
- Prepare and present technical information to management.
- Design and implement quality assurance inspection plans for product acceptance.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Associate’s degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer or in a related position is ideal.
- Familiarity with printed circuit board build processes and surface mount manufacturing is preferred.
- Knowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports and Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA).
- Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
