Now hiring a Maintenance Technician for our premier pharmaceutical client in Lenexa, KS!
Schedule: Monday-Friday, with occasional weekend OT required
Location: Lenexa, KS 66215
Pay: Competitive salary based on experience
Position Type: Direct Hire
Job Summary: Support production by performing general building and mechanical maintenance such as plumbing, electrical, mechanical, changing motors or compressors out, and replacing HVAC filters. Diagnose and repair complex production equipment, electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and pressure vessels.
Responsibilities
- Performing preventive maintenance on production equipment, including visual inspections of belts, gears, wiring, and controls
- Responding quickly to emergency calls and resolving problems efficiently
- Following all safety procedures and guidelines
- Installing and maintaining production machines and facility equipment
- Troubleshooting and performing maintenance on complex laboratory equipment and machines, such as coolers, freezers, freeze dryers, and bio-safety cabinets
- Repairing HVAC systems, high pressure steam boilers, burner controls, and refrigeration equipment
- Providing written reports on equipment conditions and proposed corrective actions
- Completing work orders and scheduled maintenance
- Communicating any issues or need for assistance to the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Manager
- Interacting with the Security Contractor to respond to alarms
- Maintaining facility equipment and providing technical support
- Replacing and programming temperature control devices
- Understanding and repairing motor control circuits
- Troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems
- Testing and diagnosing electrical components
- Using a variety of hand and power tools and material handling equipment
- Maintaining clean and orderly work areas
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or Trade School Certification in HVAC, or equivalent training
- 5+ years of experience servicing and maintaining chillers, boilers, rooftop packaged units, and split systems and industrial HVAC equipment
- Knowledge of PLC systems and ability to read ladder logic
- Ability to use MS Office Suite
- Ability to work with minimal supervision or direction
- Ability to work in a clean-room environment when needed
- Have a client-focused mind, collaborate with empathy, drive ambition and accountability within team, influence others in a positive manner
