  • Direct hire opportunity

  • Onsite role, opportunity for remote work 1 day a week

  • Salary is around $75,000

Summary
Under the general supervision of the Corporate Controller, you will be responsible for performing general accounting duties, which include analyzing, researching, and preparing financial information and reports to meet specific daily and monthly deadlines. This individual is also responsible for posting daily cash, managing external commissions, maintaining accurate fixed asset accounts, liability accounts, and expense accounts.

  • Completes general accounting functions including research, report/spreadsheet preparation, and analysis.

  • Prepares and analyzes accounting data by processing and interpreting a full suite of general ledger accounts and ensuring accuracy by comparing both forecasted and historical data.

  • Manages and maintains an entity’s full accounting cycle including proper recognition of revenue, COGS, operating expenses with proper accruals on a monthly basis.

  • Prepares financial book schedules.

  • Completes various weekly/month-end duties including calculation and preparation of journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.

  • Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries and reports.

  • Enters and reconciles daily cash receipts.

  • Maintain commission accruals and payments due.

  • Reconcile and process sales tax filings/payments.

  • Carries out ad hoc reports/assignments as needed.

  • Ensures all financial schedules and deadlines are met.

  • Develops and maintains strong working relationships across functional areas.

  • Assist in audits throughout the year.

  • Perform related duties (administrative/clerical duties, etc.) associated with accounting responsibilities.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field

  • 3+ years of related accounting experience

  • Bank/GL reconciliation experience required

  • Excellent Excel skills including proficiency using vlookups and pivot tables
