Job Posting: CNC Machinist

We are currently seeking skilled CNC Machine Operators to join our team. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating multiple 5-6 axis endform grinding machines. This includes the setup and operation of various CNC 4 and 5 axis endform grinders such as EWAG Compact, Linear, or Haas machines.

Responsibilities:

  • Run multiple 5-6 axis endform grinding machines

  • Set up and operate CNC 4 and 5 axis endform grinders

  • Orient inserts before grinding

  • Load and off-load inserts from multiple grinding machines

  • Gauge inserts to ensure proper dimensions

  • Scope inserts to verify visual characteristics

  • Pull samples and record inspection results

  • Place inserts into appropriate racks before and after grinding

  • Separate scrap from good inserts and document accurately

  • Scan correct production information

  • Maintain tooling used in machines, resurfacing as needed

  • Operate other equipment as needed

  • Train new operators when required

  • Troubleshoot moderate to complex problems

  • Adjust unique grinding programs to dial in cycles

  • Follow safety procedures and work safely at all times

  • Adhere to inspection control plans and routing specifications

  • Meet daily departmental production goals

  • Communicate safety, quality, and product issues with supervisor and team members

  • High School diploma or GED required

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of machine operation experience

  • Technical school certification or apprenticeship program completion preferred

  • Manufacturing experience of 1-3 years in automated/CNC work

  • Ability to work in a controlled environment with temperature and dust collection systems

  • Safety glasses with side-shields and safety shoes are required

  • Moderate lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

This is a 3rd shift position with working hours from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am. The pay rate ranges from $25.50 to $28 per hour.
