Kelly Engineering is currently seeking an experienced Safety Technician to join a leading team in Seadrift, Texas! Under the direction of EH&S department and working mutually with the Technical Expertise & Support Leadership Team, the Health & Safety Technician is responsible for creating injury-free maintenance performance across the Seadrift site. The purpose of this job is to provide safe and effective field observations of maintenance work across the Seadrift site.
DAILY DUTIES MAY INCLUDE
- Performing field observations to assure work is occurring according to safety standards and requirements.
- Interacting with the construction personnel to raise their level of understanding of the safety standards and requirements.
- Will work closely with the company and contract personnel across the site and EH&S Delivery personnel to ensure full compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Will be responsible for sustainable safety improvements.
- The successful candidate will be required to obtain a Construction Site Safety Technician (CSST) certification in an agreed upon timeframe.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of a 2 year technical degree in any discipline is required.
- Minimum of 2 years previous work experience in an EHS role is required.
- Above average knowledge of EHS work processes and tools is recommended.
- CSST certification preferred
