Job details
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Mfg Process Technician to join the team in Juncos, PR. Under direct supervision, the Associate Mfg Process Technician will perform processes according to Standard Operating Procedures in the Manufacturing area. This role involves various functions to support manufacturing operations, including equipment maintenance, setup, inventory management, and compliance with safety and quality requirements.
Salary: Starting at $12.00 per hour
Shifts: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 12-hour shifts available
Responsibilities:
1. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
2. Set up and prepare equipment for operation according to established procedures.
3. Support internal operations, such as stocking items, autoclaving, and tracking inventory.
4. Assist in manufacturing operations, following guidelines and protocols.
5. Prepare media and buffers, dispense raw materials, and accurately record transactions in appropriate systems.
6. Operate process automation and building monitoring systems, as required.
7. Act as a safety representative, ensuring compliance with safety requirements.
8. Understand and follow procedures, including documenting activities using Good Documentation Practices (GDPs).
9. Comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and adhere to quality standards.
10. Maintain awareness of safety protocols and take necessary precautions to prevent incidents.
Knowledge:
1. Basic knowledge of technical and functional procedures specific to the assigned area.
2. Familiarity with routine activities within the job and ability to apply basic job skills and knowledge of procedures and processes.
3. Ability to complete a variety of assignments, including routine lab support procedures and operating specialized equipment.
4. Recognition of when deviation from accepted practice is required for problem-solving.
Problem Solving:
1. Use basic analytical skills to solve task-related problems, including fact-finding, information gathering, data verification, and compilation.
2. Identify and resolve routine and recurring problems, even when issues involve uncommon variations.
3. Refer more complex problems to appropriate resources for resolution.
Autonomy:
– Receive general instructions for routine work and detailed instructions for new assignments.
– Work under regular supervision, following standard procedures and documentation.
– Prioritize tasks based on pre-determined deadlines set by others.
Contribution:
– Contribute to the team’s goals by delivering quality work efficiently.
– Support the team in achieving their objectives.
Education/Licenses:
– High school diploma or GED.
Competencies/Skills:
– Ability to perform basic computer operations, including MS Office navigation, email, and completion of Computer-Based Training (CBT).
– Capability to assemble, disassemble, operate, and understand equipment according to procedures.
– Willingness to work any shift in support of operations, including potential 24/7 availability.
– Proficiency in reading and writing English.
– Experience in a GMP or other regulated environment.
– Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
– Capacity to follow written procedures, recognize and report equipment malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments.
– Documentation skills for accurate record-keeping.
– Effective written and oral communication skills.
