Snapshot: 
Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $20/hour depending on experience 
Hours: M-F 9am to 5:30pm with overtime needed at times
Location: On-site in Chattanooga, TN

What’s a typical day as a Health Navigator? You’ll be:

  • Conducting educational telephone calls advising members of available benefits, services, and programs; completing health needs assessments, and referring members to population health management programs as appropriate.

  • Reaching out to members with identified gaps in care; encouraging and motivating them to become compliant; offering assistance in locating providers and appointment scheduling.

  • Managing system work queues; screening identified members for eligibility, prior case activities, recent claims, customer service inquiries, and authorization history; assigning members to the clinical team for call outreach and intervention.

  • Facilitating research and analysis of inquiries and/or complaints related to processes and designations, member lost incentives, and other program-related inquiries.

  • Working overtime as needed.

  • Complying with various immunizations and/or associated medical tests as required.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have an Associates Degree in education, communication, or a health-related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Possess two years of experience in a customer service support role.

  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision or function in a team environment sharing responsibility, roles, and accountability.

  • Are proficient in interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Exhibit independent, sound decision-making and problem-solving skills.

  • Are self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks and set priorities.

  • Have effective time management skills.

  • Excel in oral and written communication skills.

  • Possess knowledge in medical terminology.

  • Have experience in a medical office setting.
