Job Title: Manufacturing Technician I
Job Duration: 3 Months
Job Location: Tewksbury, MA 01876
Shift: 6:00AM to 2:30PM, 6:30AM to 3:00PM, or 7:00AM to 3:30PM

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Component assembly with UV cured epoxy and aligned via feedback from Optical spectrum analyzers, power meters and CCD cameras

  • Responsible for processing work orders for the manufacture of optical components

  • Adhere to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements of the job function

  • Adhere to ISO9000 requirements including ESD, work area cleanliness, maintenance and calibration of equipment and work instruction adherence

  • Train new technicians

  • Participate in daily team stand-up meetings; communicating daily challenges and/or ideas

  • Participate and lead improvement events (such as Kaizen, 5S, Practical Process Improvement)

  • Maintain a safe working environment, following established 5S procedures

  • Flexibility to cross train in other areas of the process
Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1-3 years of relevant experience

  • Detailed oriented

  • Computer knowledge a must

  • Show ability to work with small parts under microscope using tweezers and other small tools

  • Past experience in the manufacture of opto-electrical devices where light is being controlled by free space optics is preferred

  • Able to use different equipment such as, optical spectrum analyzer, optical power meter, etc.

  • Soldering experience a plus
