DIRECT HIRE 
Hours:
3rd shift 6pm-6:30am on 2/2/3 schedule 
Location: West Chester, OH
Pay: $30-36 per hour based on experience + shift differential

Job Summary 

The Manufacturing Technician is a hands-on role that reports directly to the Manager or Supervisor on the manufacturing floor, primarily supporting packaging operations. This position is responsible for the setup, changeover, repair, and preventative maintenance of all equipment used in production processes across various classified and non-classified areas. The Technician will also perform the duties of a Packaging Technician as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Equipment Operation and Maintenance:

  • Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain various packaging equipment, including but not limited to pickers, sorters, labelers, packers, checkweighers, printers, inspection equipment, palletizers, stretch-wrappers, and conveyors.

  • Perform mechanical and electronic troubleshooting to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Technical Support:

  • Serve as a first-line technical resource for the production team, providing support on equipment start-up, machine recipe selection, and production issues.

  • Collaborate with technical resources to resolve equipment-related issues.

Preventative Maintenance:

  • Proactively monitor equipment and component conditions, performing scheduled preventative maintenance tasks to minimize unplanned downtime.

  • Identify and investigate abnormal conditions and potential defects.

Training and Continuous Improvement:

  • Provide basic mechanical training to Packaging Technicians.

  • Participate in the implementation of continuous improvement projects.

General Tasks:

  • Perform technician tasks as required, including start-up, equipment operation, manual packaging, batch execution, material handling, rework, cleaning, housekeeping, and line clearance activities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a regulated production environment, specifically in equipment maintenance and performance.

  • Proficiency in understanding, reading, writing, and communicating instructions in English.

  • Ability to lift and handle equipment change parts, tooling, and materials related to maintenance and repair.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational school graduate preferred.

  • Prior experience with automated equipment.
