Warehouse Worker (Temp to Hire Position)
Job Responsibilities:
- Efficiently and safely load and unload freight using proper equipment to move products to storage throughout the facility.
- Effectively stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders for shipment.
- Check freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation while labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as directed by management.
- Operate equipment (e.g., stand up forklifts, staddle trucks, walk behinds, pallet jacks, RF) in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment while meeting production standards.
- Perform additional duties such as inventory management, cleaning, or forklift battery changes as needed.
Required Experience and Education:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Three months of related work experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work overtime, evenings, or weekends as necessary.
- Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently required to drive a forklift, sit, hear or talk, use close vision, and manipulate controls.
- Occasionally required to use distance vision, stand, kneel, or crouch.
- Must work in spaces with 55 inches of headroom.
- Capable of working in temperatures ranging from -15°F (inside) to ambient temperatures outside.
- Able to tolerate heights up to 30 ft. and work from within a safety cage.
- Requires standing up to 5 hours within an 8-hour shift.
- Must lift or carry products up to 70 lbs. for a minimum distance of 6 ft. without mechanical assistance.
