Minimum requirements:

· Substitute Teacher: High School Diploma, Negative TB Test, and Pass background screens.

· Substitute Aide: High School Diploma, Negative TB Test and Pass background screens.

Responsibilities:
– Provide instruction and support to students in various subject areas, including math, literacy, and special education.
– Follow lesson plans and curriculum provided by the regular classroom teacher.
– Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the individual needs of students, including those with autism or other developmental challenges.
– Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and student engagement.
– Monitor student behavior and enforce classroom rules and procedures.
– Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience for students.
– Provide feedback to the regular classroom teacher regarding student progress and any issues that arise during the day.

Requirements:
– High School diploma and experience in education or a related field preferred.
– Experience working with children in a classroom or tutoring setting.
– Knowledge of childhood development and effective teaching strategies.
– Familiarity with special education practices and accommodations for students with diverse learning needs.
– Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
– Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and follow established lesson plans.
– Patience, flexibility, and a passion for working with children.

Note: This position is on an as-needed basis, filling in for regular classroom teachers when they are absent. Substitute teachers may be called upon to work in various grade levels, from preschool to high school.

PAY RATE: *Sub Teacher: $80 – $100/Day Para: $10.66/Hour

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $80.00 – $100.00 per hour
