PILOT PLANT RESEARCH TECHNICIAN
ROTATING SHIFTS

MAIN FUNCTIONS:

Work  24/7 12-hour shift job on the DuPont shift schedule.
Perform tests on unit samples using Agilent GC and communicate results to console tech Perform tests using CHNS analyzer Run GC standards as needed
Fill mini totes with catalyst in lab hood
Do sample prep as needed
Maintain all lab related sample systems including digital and hard copy formats
Support/assist the lab supervisors/chemists by performing routine and nonroutine laboratory analysis/wet chemistry on product and in-process samples, to support plant operations for the purpose of quality assurance/control.
Perform calibration and maintenance of test equipment.
Prepare samples and ensure accurate data generation and records, in accordance with the standard operating procedures.
Utilize analytical instruments to address quality assurance/control issues.
Prepare chemical stock solutions and reagents, as well as set preparation standards. Position will receive direction and support. Works with moderate work direction and is skilled and knowledgeable to the position.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
BS in Chemical/Process/Technical Engineering, preferred. Will consider AAS or experience in lieu of.  
Computer literate.
Preferable experience in quality control systems.
