Hiring Warehouse Associate in Pomona, CA

Monday-Friday

1st shift – 9AM – 5:30PM (Overtime as required)

$18 per hour

Temp to hire. Will receive benefits once converted to permanent employee. 401K, dental, medical, vision, PTO, paid holidays etc. This is a temp-to-hire position with an opportunity to become a permanent employee based on performance and attendance.

  • Steel toe or composite boots required

  • NO Forklift usage in this role

  • Must be able to lift 35 pounds.

  • Must speak English for communication, bilingual preferred

Company: Large Dental Distributor and Manufacturer

Day in the life below:

Standing and walking around large warehouse all day picking items with handheld scanner, packing, pulling orders. Making boxes, taping, packing orders with proper documentation. Stacking boxes on pallet, shrink wrapping, and moving manually with hand pallet jack. Able to use basic computer, Microsoft word, excel etc. Moves cases, crates, packaged merchandise, and other material about a warehouse, between loading and storage areas by means of hand trucks, hand lifts, and other methods. Store merchandise in designated areas in the warehouse; packs and wraps merchandise when required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to be fully trained and functional picking Domestic orders using the handheld scanner.

  • Must be able to build carts using handheld scanner.

  • Perform Kanban Audits.

  • Understanding DBS Tools and the Dept. KPI’s (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity).

  • Pulls production work order materials from shelves, boxes, and bins.

  • Stocks Warehouse shelves. Picker and packer and packager.

  • Pulls all Domestic shipments.

  • Completes paperwork transactions for all movement of material.

  • Verify quantities on hand.

  • Follow all standard operating procedures and job instructions in the shipping GMP Manual.

  • Prepare distribution paperwork by recording quantity shipped and the lot number shipped on the work order.

  • Pulls orders from inventory, palletize and shrink-wrap or stage cases for shipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as Emails, safety rules, standard operating procedures (SOP’s), master procedures (MP’s), maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Must be able to read and apply procedures in the materials data safety sheet.

  • Ensure proper handling of all hazardous/raw material

Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma/GED and 1 year of related work experience (shipping/receiving, distribution, logistics, etc.) or 2 years of related work experience or 4 years of work experience

  • Strong communication in English (Reading, writing, and verbal). Bilingual preferred.

  • Interpersonal skills, Organizational skills.

  • Proficient time management/ sense of urgency

  • Screening processes once offered.

  • Authorized to work in the US.
