Salary for Lead Fleet Mechanic Trainer:
- $70-$80k (based on experience)
Job Overview:
The Lead Instructor is responsible for managing a team of onsite instructors and serves as
the primary point of contact for cross-functional coordination with the partners. The role involves overseeing, coordinating, and executing training. The Lead Instructor ensures that all training programs are delivered effectively and efficiently. Ability to design a curriculum and create materials for the company staff to learn and follow
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of onsite trainers (FD&R & RHO) providing
guidance and support to ensure high-quality training delivery.
- Training Program Execution: Coordinate, oversee, and execute training initiatives,
ensuring
that all programs meet the partner’s standards.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the key point of contact between the training
team partners, ensuring smooth communication and alignment on training goals
and timelines.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all training aligns with safety protocols and regulatory
requirements, particularly in relation to AV operations.
- People Development: Support the professional growth of the trainers
Qualifications:
- Experience: A professional with experience in adult education, automotive repair, tech
(preferred in AVs) & people management. A minimum of 6+ years would be convenient
- Must have at least 3 years of professional driving experience, professional instructor
certification, and a clean driving record (minimum 3 years), and completed safety training
- Training Expertise: In-depth knowledge of adult education principles, curriculum
development, and hands-on training delivery, especially in technical fields such as
automotive or AV operations.
- Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate training schedules and
operational needs. Willingness to travel as needed to support training efforts across
different sites
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
