Job Description:
• Use Analytical Methods and procedures for sample prep and polymer analysis to determine: Density, Melt Index, Viscosity, polymer composition, Zinc concentration and pellet & speck count. May include sample prep and shipment to site analytical for analysis.
• Data entry of polymer analysis into LIMS system and communication of all quality data and observations to run plant personnel as needed.
• Calibrate lab equipment daily using SQC & ILU standards, data entry of SQC & ILU results.
• Follows Operating Discipline principles, procedures and practices to ensure safe and efficient operation of laboratory.
• Performs tasks assigned to operations as per Master Task List. E.g. equipment preparation, samples, etc.
• Uses trouble shooting skills to resolve lab deviations and problems.
• As required, participates in Root Cause Investigations.
• Coaches and train others on lab operations.
• Uses lab knowledge and skills to make improvements in lab performance and operating discipline. Includes giving input for improving job procedures.
• Perform Lab equipment troubleshooting, minor repairs, improvements and preventative maintenance, utilizing appropriate processes and disciplines.
• Maintain cleanliness of lab, lab equipment and discard scrap materials daily.
Fit test for respirator (full face and half face) is required.
