Job details

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Maintenance Technician at Juncos, PR starting at $18.14ph. Under general supervision, the Associate Maintenance Technician will execute basic maintenance activities and operate assigned equipment, facility, utility, and HVAC systems in accordance with established guidelines and operating procedures. This role involves conducting basic troubleshooting and identifying appropriate corrective actions for equipment and system problems.

Responsibilities:
– Execute routine maintenance activities or operate and monitor plant support equipment, following established guidelines.
– Assist in maintaining an up-to-date spare parts inventory system for equipment and systems.
– Perform “Housekeeping” activities to ensure clean work areas and equipment.
– Complete operational log paperwork, daily log files, and work order documentation with accurate information.
– Participate in a detailed training program to enhance knowledge in maintenance and operations.
– Adhere to CFRs, cGMPs, SOPs, job plans, and company policies in all work activities.
– Maintain an up-to-date cGMP training book.
– Assist in the development, revision, and updating of related SOPs or job plans/work plans.
– Evaluate current maintenance procedures and recommend changes for optimization.
– Conduct basic troubleshooting of utility, process, and HVAC equipment/systems.
– Plan and schedule work activities in coordination with operations staff to minimize production impact.
– Support on-call response by maintaining a pager or cell phone while on-call.
– Develop proficiency in one or more advanced maintenance technologies (alignment, balancing, thermography, oil analysis, ultrasound, electric motor circuit analysis, metrology, or vibration monitoring).

Education/Licenses:
– Associate’s degree or High school diploma/GED and 2 years of directly related experience, or
– Certification directly related to the role and 2 years of directly related experience.

Competencies/Skills:
– Knowledgeable in one or more technical areas: Utility Plant Operations/Maintenance, Process Equipment/System Maintenance, HVAC Operations/Maintenance, or Fire System.
– Competencies in maintenance technician skills.
– Reading and writing skills to perform and document maintenance operations.
– Good oral communication skills.
– Basic computer skills.
– Ability to interact constructively with peers and teams.
