Warehouse Generalist 
Job Schedule:

  • 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM with a one-hour lunch

  • Temporary Assignment

  • $20hr 

Job Summary:
Receive incoming shipments. Prepare and ship all outbound shipments. Maintain inventory. Restock shelves. Keep the warehouse safe, clean, and organized.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a forklift and related typical warehouse equipment (scales, hydraulic truck dock, pallet jacks, etc.)

  • Shipping/Receiving duties, including checking items into stock and tagging for delivery.

  • Administer UPS and FedEx online shipping, schedule LTL freight deliveries, and manage related paperwork to ensure accuracy of company records.

  • Receive and check incoming freight/shipments with accuracy, matching part numbers to packing slips to ensure good inventory control. This includes unpacking, examining, and routing incoming shipments/parts.

  • Data entry into company’s operating systems, ISM & CSD.

  • Prepare and ship outbound shipments.

  • Palletize and prepare truck shipments, including all necessary paperwork.

  • Accurately pick orders in accordance with established procedures, including staging service work orders daily.

  • Assist with inventory control – accurate counting, safely and securely storing, and moving inventory within a warehouse environment.

  • Perform daily cycle counting of stock inventory and participate in the annual physical inventory count.

  • Maintain and update bin locations as necessary and reorganize stock as needed.

  • Record and report shipping shortages as well as damaged items/shipments per protocol.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse and receiving dock.

  • Maintain shipping materials and supplies.

  • Replenish truck stock inventory as directed by Operations Specialist.

  • Assist all will-call and walk-in customers.

  • Assist with general building maintenance as needed.

  • Scan all shipping and receiving paperwork daily.

  • Provide general warehouse/company assistance in various capacities, as needed.

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a shipping & receiving environment.

  • Basic math skills and/or aptitude. Ability to type and count accurately is required.

  • Ability to safely operate a forklift and related typical warehouse equipment (scales, hydraulic truck dock, pallet jacks, etc.). Forklift certification desired but not required; candidates must be willing to train and be certified post-hire.

  • Ability to multi-task.

  • Proficiency with taping and shrink wrap devices.

  • Ability to climb a step stool or short ladder as needed.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.

  • A “can-do” attitude with a commitment to the concept of “doing it right the first time.”

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Dependable and highly motivated.

  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.

  • Good computer skills – Microsoft Outlook, Windows 10, shipping programs.

  • Valid driver’s license with a reliable source of transportation.
