Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $81 hr

What’s a typical day You’ll be:
• Acting as the category manager for consulting and engineering, office facilities maintenance and construction, and aviation services contracts primarily for domestic oil and gas onshore and offshore assets.
• Managing the full life cycle for staffing services contracts, including advising on the best fit vendor, executing contract documents, and evaluating vendor performance.
• Executing new contracts, term extensions, commercial amendments, and conducting Request for Proposals (RFPs) as needed.
• Acting as the central point of contact between business unit proponents, vendor representatives, and other key stakeholders including Risk and Legal.
• Driving collaboration efforts with business and functional leadership in establishing and executing sourcing & value creation strategies for the business.
• Preparing, submitting, and negotiating contract terms and conditions.
• Pre-qualifying new and re-qualifying existing suppliers, ensuring compliance with the HES Contractor Safety Program.
• Communicating with internal stakeholders on strategy, policies/procedures, guidelines, and processes.
• Managing key vendors by evaluating performance and conducting supplier KPI tracking.
• Working in multiple SAP and Ariba ERP Systems and modules.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management.
• 7+ years of experience related to category management and strategic sourcing.
• Have strong knowledge of procure to pay process, contract management best practices, supplier vetting, sourcing strategy implementation, commercial analysis, and negotiations.
• Have strong contract analysis, drafting, and negotiation skills.
• Have excellent proficiency in time management skills, highly organized, and detail-oriented.
• Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Have strong cross-functional communication skills, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Have demonstrated ability to work independently, make decisive decisions, and exercise sound judgment.
• Are comfortable with change and can assist others through change.
