Inventory Control/Cycle Count Associate – Palm Beach Gardens, FL

Kelly Outsourcing & Consulting Group (KellyOCG), a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is currently seeking an Inventory Control/Cycle Count Associate at one of our Global clients in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.  This role is a full-time, fully benefitted position.

Location: Palm Beach Gardens (33410)
Pay: open; plus benefits and PTO
Hours: M-F 7am-3:30pm
Duration: Long term contract (minimum 1 year)

Job Description: Inventory Control/Cycle Count, Shipping and Receiving Associate

  • Picks finished goods throughout the warehouse as required by sales order ship lists.

  • Processes goods and supplies including unpacking, verifying, labeling, and distributing to appropriate location.

  • Fills requisitions for goods and materials.

  • Maintains and verifies accounting records for supplies received and dispensed.

  • Coordinates appropriate shipping companies/departments when shipping items and educates user departments regarding shipping requirements.

  • Assists in preparing shipping foods and relevant equipment.

  • Uses/operates miscellaneous material handling equipment dollies, pallet jack, forklift to move materials.

  • Performs physical inventories and cycle counts.

  • Maintains the record of wait delivery requests and notifies the appropriate department supervisor of material and/or goods that are not on schedule.

  • Maintain the logbooks up to date for optimum material flow.

  • Makes inquiries of inventory to ensure adequate supplies are on hand.

  • Reports shortages to supervisor.

  • Performs other related material handling activities including maintaining proper documentation of all incoming and outgoing materials and keeping physical inventories.

  • Exercises care in handling materials.

  • Cross-train to support shipping and receiving activities as needed: Shipping and Receiving Operator- The transportation and shipping operator reporting to the Shipping, Receiving, and Warehouse Lead, will primarily be responsible for working in the transport and shipping department, performing duties such as driving company vehicles to internal warehouse and external vendors, preparing orders for delivery, coordinating shipments to internal warehouse locations and handling mailroom duties, such as sorting and distributing incoming mail. Additionally, operator will assist in the warehouse by organizing inventory, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring efficient workflows and updating records.

Responsibilities:

  • Transport and Shipping 70 :

  •  Operate company vehicle s to internal warehouse and external vendors.

  • Coordinate shipments to internal warehouse locations.

  • Prepare orders for delivery, including packaging and labeling. o Utilize FedEx and UPS terminals for shipping and tracking purposes.

  • Handle mailroom duties, such as sorting and distributing incoming mail.

Warehouse Operations 20 :

  • Organize inventory and maintaining proper stock levels.

  • Operate machinery and equipment necessary for daily tasks.

  • Maintain the warehouse clean and organized.

  • Ensure accurate records of inventory and shipments.

Receiving 10 :

  • Load and unload trucks with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Manage incoming shipments and verifying the accuracy of received goods.

  • Update documentation and computer systems with received goods information.

  • Collaborate with appropriate departments to resolve any discrepancies with received items. Note: These responsibilities are approximate percentages to provide a general understanding. The distribution of time spent on each task may vary depending on operational needs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting.

  • The capability to lift and move packages and materials weighing up to 50 lbs. independently, and over 75 lbs. with assistance or appropriate equipment.

  • The agility to navigate through a warehouse or distribution center, including climbing ladders, reaching high shelves, and accessing inventory in confined spaces.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Valid driver s license with clean driver s record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Forklift certification

  • Previous experience with FedEx and UPS terminals.

  • Knowledge of inventory management systems.

  • Box truck driving experience
