Position Overview:

Responsibilities:

  • Daily processing and entry of invoices, debit memos, vendor generated credit memos, payment requests, and employee reimbursements

  • Reviews documents for validity, appropriate classification, and compliance with company policies

  • Responding to inquiries regarding payment dates, missing payments, deductions & overpays, stop payments, and unpaid invoices

  • Reconciles vendor statements in conjunctions with open GRIR items

  • Monitors aged items

  • Maintains open lines of communication with both external and internal personnel involving payment schedules and invoice statuses

  • Opening, sorting, and distributing the departmental mail and reviewing the AP Corporate e-mail for invoice retrieval and communications

Qualifications:

  • An Associates Degree with 1-3 years of professional Accounts Payable experience is required

  • An understanding of the basic functions and controls required to perform a highly effective procure-to-pay business cycle

  • Computer literacy and advanced skills in the use of accounting software along with a working knowledge of SAP, MS Excel and Word are required

  • Strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, demonstrated ability to work on a team, flexibility and adaptability are all essential

  • Ability to remain focused while completing tasks which can be very repetitive in nature

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of accuracy, detail and organization in a fast pace working environment

  • Must be able to quickly and accurately evaluate various sets of data and advise on solutions to potential issues or inaccuracies

  • Candidate must be able to demonstrate proficient knowledge in the ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial and employee files
