Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer with expertise in both project management and mechanical design to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with the ability to lead projects from concept to completion while ensuring design accuracy, timely delivery, and cost-effectiveness.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical Design: Develop, design, and optimize mechanical systems and components using industry-standard CAD software e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc. .

  • Create and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and 3D models.

  • Perform design calculations and simulations to ensure system performance, reliability, and safety.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, software, and manufacturing engineers, to ensure design feasibility and integration.

  • Research and apply industry standards and regulatory requirements to designs.

  • Project Management: Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from initiation through execution, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to define project requirements, milestones, and deliverables.

  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and resource allocations. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address project challenges.

  • Oversee project documentation, including technical reports, meeting notes, and progress updates.

  • Communicate project status to upper management and clients through regular updates and presentations.

  • Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance project efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall product quality.

  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and innovations in mechanical engineering and project management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Master s degree is a plus .

  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and project management.

  • Proficiency in CAD software SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc. .

  • Experience with project management tools e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar .

  •  Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • PMP or other project management certification preferred but not required .

Key Skills:

  • Excellent mechanical design and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong project management skills with experience handling multidisciplinary teams.

  •  Proficient in design software and tools.

  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

  •  Strong organizational skills, with a proactive attitude toward deadlines and project delivery.
