Kelly® Engineering is seeking a I&C Technician for a direct-hire position at a leading biomass electric power generation company in Benson, MN. If you are passionate about shaping the world we live in and are ready to reengineer your future, trust the experts at hiring experts.

$40-45/hr. + $20,000 annual bonus!
Overview
Our client is a prominent energy company that maintains critical infrastructure and power plants. As an I&C Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the optimal operation of the plant by providing maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration support for all instrumentation associated with boilers, turbines, generators, and auxiliary equipment. Relocation support to the Benson, MN available for the right candidate.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance tasks such as installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of protective relays, computers, metering, monitoring, and control systems.
- Interpret and work from P&IDs, CWDs, and electrical diagrams to troubleshoot and repair plant systems.
- Use various test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multi-meters, loop calibrators) and hand tools to maintain devices and systems.
- Assist in the training of apprentice I&C technicians and skill enhancement employees.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental and safety guidelines.
- Complete written and electronic documentation for all work performed.
- Provide leadership by performing Master I&C Technician duties in the absence of the Master I&C Technician.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent education in instrumentation, pneumatics, engineering, or related technical fields OR completion of an Instrumentation and Controls Apprentice Training Program.
- Military experience in electronics repair and calibration may be considered in place of formal education.
- Minimum of three (3) years of industrial experience in electronics repair and calibration.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to work in challenging environments, including lifting up to 75 lbs, working at heights, and in confined spaces.
- Proficient in using basic hand tools and performing general maintenance tasks.
- Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
