Senior R&D Development Chef
Job Summary:
Kelly Science & Clinical has partnered with a food manufacturing client in Aurora, CO to bring you this exciting Senior R&D Development Chef opportunity. We’re seeking a passionate individual to develop innovative sample products from concept to production, ensuring they meet taste, quality, and cost expectations.
Details:
Salary: $75,000–$85,000 annually, based on experience.
Shift: 8hr day shifts.
Duration: Direct-hire (permanent position).
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and develop new products, ensuring adherence to cost, time, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams (Quality, Sanitation, Engineering) to ensure product compliance.
- Mentor junior chefs under the guidance of the Director of Culinary Innovation.
- Create proof-of-concept samples and present them for customer approval.
- Stay current on dessert trends and apply them to new product development.
- Partner with Supply Chain to source new ingredients.
- Continuously review and improve product formulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Pastry Arts/Baking; food science degree preferred.
- 5+ years of hands-on baking and pastry experience.
- Strong sensory skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift 25 pounds, and work in varying environments.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
